CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET DEPENDING ON THE ORGANIZATION OF THE “LAST MILE”

The “last mile” is the final leg connecting end (user’s) equipment to the provider’s access point. For example, while providing the Internet connection the “last mile" is a spacing from the provider’s switch port in his icommunication node to the client’s router port in his office. The “last mile’ does not usually include harness inside the building.

The company Technical Centre Radio Systems Ltd. uses the following “last mile” technologies: FTTx, ETHERNET (UTP), xDSL, WiMAX.

  1. Connection work means connecting one customer’s device – a PC or a router. Router is a convenient device with 4 ports switch which is actuated at first request, controls resource access, NAT and DHCP servers. The device can provide functioning of a small local area network economizing on buying additional equipment like switch and creating a PC server. The firewall fulfils a wide range of functions, which enhances your network/computer security against network attacks.
